Our profession is not about blindly translating or transcribing words from one language into the other, but rather about analysing, understanding and translating the meaning of the text. For this reason, specialisation in fields of expertise is crucial.
Due to my many years of professional experience in international law firms and my love for the subtleties of German and English or American legal language, it was therefore easy for me to decide to specialise in precisely this field.
Translations
General and certified translation and legal translations from English into German and vice versa (e.g. press releases, catalogues, graphics, training material, websites, patent claims, software, documentation for authorities as well as courts, contracts and certificates of all kinds).
To calculate the price for a translation, the following factors are considered: data type and format of the text, speciality of the text, level of difficulty, language of the original text, order volume and deadline. The calculation is furthermore based on the number of words and a so-called standard line comprised of 55 characteres. The minimum order value amounts to EUR 50.00.
Interpreting services
Consecutive and simultaneous interpreting services from English into German and vice versa:
- Presentations, meetings, conferences, negotiations;
- Court hearings, fairs, authorities and notaries.
To calculate the price for an interpreting assignment, the following factors are considered: type of the interpreting service required, speciality, location of the assignment and level of difficulty. The calculation is furthermore based on either an hourly or daily rate. The minimum order value amounts to EUR 100.00.
